Safety First! Bolt Outdoor Introduction Post

Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my page! For my first post, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Ben, and I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast. I fell in love with nature and outdoor activities at a very young age. Growing up, my parents made sure I stayed active through various sports, clubs, and outdoor activities. I was a Boy Scout and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Over the years, I played soccer, baseball, and hockey, but my true passion has always been distance running. I’ve also dabbled in other endurance sports like cycling and triathlons.

During my training for these endurance activities, I’ve had numerous close calls with motorists. Thankfully, I’ve never been involved in a serious accident, but I know many who have. These experiences are part of what inspired me to start this blog.

The goal behind Bolt Outdoor is to help keep endurance athletes safer while training. Endurance sports can be dangerous, and athletes often find themselves in risky situations while out on the road or trail. With the increase in outdoor activity participation, we’re also seeing a rise in accidents—both fatal and non-fatal—as well as close calls. Whether it’s running, cycling, hiking, or other outdoor sports, safety should always be a priority.

On this blog, you’ll find safety guides for various outdoor activities, tips on layering for safety, recommendations for safety components, and reviews of the best safety gear. All posts are based on my personal experiences and opinions, and I hope they serve as helpful references to keep you safer during your outdoor adventures.

Remember, Safety First!
